Haven't been to Sophie's in years but stopped by to see if it still tasted as good as I remembered. I ordered the strawberries and whipped cream and was very pleasantly surprised that it was just as good as before! It was filled with tons of strawberries and the crepe had the crisp I remember it having. If I'm in Japantown, I'll definitely be back!
Had dinner in Japan town, and was in the mood for some dessert. Walked around the shopping center until settling on Sophie's Crepes. I got the banana crepe, which came with chocolate sauce, whipped cream (which I forwent), and vanilla ice cream. Everything about this crepe was FANTASTIC: it came chock-full of bananas, a drizzle of chocolate sauce, large scoops of ice cream, and the crepe was fluffy and warm. I also loved the fact that they didn't overfill the crepe, which meant the filling didn't spill out as I was chowing down.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Sophie's Crepes in the afternoon, and it was a delightful experience from start to finish. There was no line when I came in the afternoon on a Saturday.
I decided to try something a bit different from my usual choices and opted for the matcha red bean crepe. It turned out to be an excellent decision. The crepe itself was expertly made, with just the right level of crunchiness that added a delightful texture to each bite.
The star of the show, however, was the combination of matcha and red bean. The earthy, slightly bitter notes of matcha paired harmoniously with the sweet and creamy red bean filling. This flavor combination was not only unique but also incredibly satisfying.
I would gladly return to Sophie's Crepes to explore more of their menu, and based on this experience, I highly recommend giving them a try. I would rate it 5 out of 5 stars for its excellent service and delicious, innovative crepe offerings.
This was a damn good crepe. Quick service. No dine in, but there are makeshift benches outside of the store.
This is my first time trying this as an SF tourist and someone who doesn't have a sweet tooth but still craves sweets once in a while.
Food: They have an extensive dessert and savory menu - 19 options for dessert and 11 options for savory. You can also create your own crepe - selecting from a list of over 25 sweet toppings and 15 savory toppings.
I decided to go the simple route and ordered the Japanese Crepe ($10.32 including tax) which has green tea gelato, red bean paste, and matcha sauce. You could also add whipped cream but I decided not to. I was happy with the big portion size given that it was priced at the high end. The crepe itself was crispy - which was the main driver for my positive review. If it was crispier, I would probably have given it a 5-star.
Not sure when I'll be back but I'll be interested in trying out a savory crepe next time!

This is a Japantown favorite for me, pretty good crepes and sundaes. Would recommend to anyone in the area.
Crepes are amazing and depending on yourself you might even like whips crème on it. I personally don't like it I prefer the crepe itself with bananas Nutella and vanilla ice cream which tastes really good.
